Never Forever - nothing lasts forever... The idea for the song was with me for a while 'the builder says there are cracks in the wall....' once I decided how to develop it it didn't take long to write. It seemed natural too to use a fairly standard minor blues format to underlay the story. I wanted to create a haunting soundscape and decided it would best be achieved by not adding in the usual bluesy lead guitar touches, the bass would create the journey for the story to unfold over, let the Furnace smoulder for a while.
